ROSEMONT, Ill. — After leading Northwestern to its fourth consecutive outright Big Ten regular season title, senior attacker Madison Taylor has been named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.
This marks Taylor's 10th career offensive player of the week award and third of the 2026 campaign. This season, Taylor surpassed two-time Tewaaraton Award winner Izzy Scane's count of eight career conference offensive player of the week honors.
Taylor recorded nine goals, three assists, three ground balls, two caused turnovers and eight draw controls in wins over No. 22 Rutgers and No. 11 Michigan, resulting in Northwestern winning its fourth straight Big Ten regular season title.
The attacker is one of seven Big Ten players named to the top 25 list of Tewaaraton Award nominees. She also became the first-ever Women's Lacrosse League College Draft selection, going No. 1 overall to the California Palms on April 14.
Taylor leads the Big Ten in goals (77) and points (104) this season. Her 448 career points rank fourth in NCAA history, while she ranks No. 5 in career goals (322).
Northwestern, which earned the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament and a first round bye, will face the winner of No. 4-seed Michigan and No. 5-seed Penn State in the semifinal round on Friday, April 24. Opening draw from U-M Lacrosse Stadium is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT on Big Ten Network.
