ROSEMONT, Ill. — Following victories over then-No. 1 Maryland and then-No. 18 Penn State, Northwestern senior attacker Madison Taylor and graduate student goalkeeper Jenika Cuocco received Big Ten Player of the Week honors, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.

Taylor took home Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season, while Cuocco was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week for the second time in the past three weeks. The duo helped the Wildcats become the first program to defeat multiple IWLCA No. 1 ranked squads in a single season since Florida did so in 2012.

Across NU's two wins, Taylor tallied 10 goals, four assists, four ground balls, three caused turnovers and five draw controls. The senior leads the Big Ten in goals (68) and points (92) this season. This marks Taylor's ninth career conference offensive player of the week award and first since Feb. 10.

Cuocco posted 15 saves on a 44.1% save percentage in the two ranked road victories. She racked up four ground balls against the Terrapins. This season, Cuocco has amassed 117 saves on a 48.3% save percentage. She first won Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week on March 31.

The No. 2 ranked Wildcats return to Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium on Wednesday, April 15, when they'll take on No. 22 Rutgers. Opening draw is scheduled for 4 p.m. CT on B1G+.
