INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Three members of the Northwestern football program have been invited to participate in the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium: defensive lineman Aidan Hubbard, offensive lineman Evan Beerntsen and offensive lineman Caleb Tiernan.

The trio are the first three Wildcats to earn NFL Combine invites since 2023, when defensive lineman Adetomiwa Adebawore, defensive back Cameron Mitchell, running back Evan Hull and offensive lineman Peter Skoronski each received invitations. The NFL Combine will take place from Feb. 23 to March 2 in Indianapolis.

Tiernan, a long-time standout at left tackle, logged 43 career starts in his Northwestern career. An All-Big Ten Second Team honoree in 2025, Tiernan posted an 84.3 PFF pass blocking grade in his final season with the Wildcats. The figure ranked third in the Big Ten and ninth among tackles nationally.

Beerntsen transferred to Northwestern ahead of the 2025 season following a standout FCS career with South Dakota State. He started all 13 games at right guard this past season, earning All-Big Ten Honorable Mention plaudits. Beerntsen relented zero sacks and no QB hits in the entire season.

Hubbard ended his Wildcat career as the program's No. 5 all-time sack leader, amassing 20.5 career sacks. He registered 28 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss and a career-high 7.5 sacks in 11 games this past season. Hubbard was a two-time All-Big Ten Honorable Mention honoree.
