Taylor Named Big Ten Conference Attacker of the Week

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Northwestern senior attacker Madison Taylor was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week for the eighth time in her career, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday. She tallied nation-leading marks of 17 points and 11 goals for the week.

Taylor opened the season with a game-high nine points against Boston College (02/06), and followed up that performance with eight against Colorado (02/09).

Against Boston College, Taylor notched five goals and tied her career-high of four assists while adding two caused turnovers, two ground balls and three draw controls, helping the Wildcats to a 20-12 victory. She scored six goals and registered two assists and five draw controls against Colorado.

Last season, Taylor set the NCAA single-season record scoring 109 goals and set the school's single-season record with 158 points. She was the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year and USA Lacrosse First Team All-American selection.

Ahead of the 2026 campaign, the Long Island native was named USA Today's preseason Player of the Year and Attacker of the Year.
