1/6/2026 4:34:00 PM | Women's Lacrosse

EVANSTON, Ill. — After making its third consecutive trip to the national championship game in 2025, Northwestern lacrosse will play a 16-game regular season schedule in 2026.

The Wildcats will face off against nine 2025 NCAA Tournament teams in their 25th season under Combe Family Head Lacrosse Coach Kelly Amonte Hiller, the winner of three consecutive Big Ten Coach of the Year awards.

Northwestern will open its 2026 campaign on the road in a national semifinal rematch with Boston College at Fish Field House on Friday, Feb. 6. The game will feature a 2025 Tewaaraton Award Finalist on both sides, with senior attacker Madison Taylor facing off against Eagles netminder Shea Dolce.

Taylor returns for her final season of eligibility following an electrifying junior campaign when she scored an NCAA single-season record 109 goals and amassed a program single-year record 158 points.

With the addition of former James Madison attacker and draw specialist Maddie Epke, NU is one of three programs to feature multiple 2025 IWLCA First Team All-Americans on its roster.

The Wildcats will match up with Colorado in its home opener at Ryan Fieldhouse on Monday, Feb. 9. The indoor facility will host a series of high-profile non-conference games, including Army on Saturday, Feb. 14 and Syracuse on Thursday, March 12.

Ten days following Northwestern's Big Ten opener against Ohio State on Sunday, March 15, the Wildcats will take on the defending national champions UNC in Chapel Hill, N.C., on Wednesday, March 25. NU will look to win back-to-back games in Chapel Hill for the first time in program history.

The Big Ten Tournament will be hosted by Michigan from Wednesday, April 22 through Sunday, April 26.

Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium will host this year's NCAA Tournament semifinal and championship rounds, which are slated for Friday, May 22 and Sunday, May 24, respectively. This marks the first championship rounds hosted at a college stadium since Johns Hopkins' Homewood Field held the 2022 Final Four and title game.
