Wildcats Launch Spring Season at Purdue Puerto Rico Classic

EVANSTON, Ill. (January 30, 2025) – Northwestern women's golf sets its sights on the spring season, kicking things off at the Purdue Puerto Rico Classic in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. Northwestern is one of five teams competing at the event ranked within the top-25 of the latest Clippd rankings.
The 'Cats kick off play with 36-holes on Sunday beginning with a 5:30 a.m. CT shotgun start. Monday's final round will commence at 6:30 a.m. CT, concluding on Tuesday if necessary due to forecasted inclement weather.
The Field
The 20th ranked 'Cats take their place within an 18-team field consisting of host-school Purdue, #4 Arkansas, Furman, Georgia Southern, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas State, LSU, Minnesota, Michigan State, Michigan, #14 North Carolina, North Florida, North Texas, #15 Ole Miss, UNCW, and #10 Vanderbilt.

The Wildcats return to the par-72, 6,305-yard Grand Reserve Golf Club, where they placed fourth at last year's event. Live scoring can be found on both days on Scoreboard.

Last Time Out
The Wildcats closed out the fall season at the rain-shortened East Lake Cup. Dianna Lee claimed her second collegiate victory as one of two players to finish under par.
In match play, the 'Cats defeated USC 4-1 in the semifinals before falling 4-1 to Oregon in the championship match.
Up Next
Following the Purdue Puerto Rico Classic, the Wildcats travel to Florida, where they will partake in the Spartan Suncoast Invitational, February 15-16, in Sarasota.
