Miller Returns to Northwestern Tennis for Fifth Year

EVANSTON, Ill. - Chad Miller will return to Northwestern men’s tennis for a fifth year, the program announced Thursday. Miller played to a 41-37 overall singles record during his first four years as a Wildcat.

“I chose to come back to Northwestern because I love the people here and the person I have become,” said Miller on the decision. “I want to have one last ride with my brothers. I’m really excited to see what we can do this upcoming year.”

After not seeing action as a first-year, Miller debuted as a sophomore in 2024. He played at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles, where he contributed to ten dual wins for the team, including a 4-3 victory over then-No. 8 Duke.

As a junior, Miller racked up 19 singles wins during the 2024-25 season, including 14 during dual action. He went 2-0 from the No. 4 slot and 10-2 at No. 5. In doubles play, Miller teamed up primarily with Saiprakash Goli and Felix Nordby to go a combined 12-10 in dual action, including a 6-4 mark against Big Ten opponents.

Most recently, Miller’s senior season saw him add 11 singles wins and 10 doubles victories to his career tallies. The season wrapped up with a run of doubles success for Miller, who teamed up with Greyson Casey to win three of his last four doubles matches, including a ranked victory over then-No. 63 William Mroz and Kenta Miyoshi in the season finale at Illinois.

“I am excited to have Chad back for his fifth year,” said Head Coach Arvid Swan. “Chad is an excellent teammate and impactful leader and continues to play at a high level in singles and doubles.”
