Three Wildcats Named to USA Lacrosse Roster for PALA Championship

SPARKS, Md. – A total of three Northwestern lacrosse standouts have been named to the United States roster for the 2025 Pan-American Lacrosse Association (PALA) Women's Championship which will be held from June 26-30 at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex in Auburndale, Fla. Izzy Scane (Grad. 2024), Madison Taylor (Jr.) and Sammy White (Sr.) were selected to the 22-person roster today by head coach Acacia Walker-Weinstein.

 
White will make her national team debut, while Scane and Taylor each have experience competing with the U.S. program in the U19/20 world championships. This season, Taylor and White helped Northwestern reach the NCAA national championship game for the third straight season and finished with a 19-3 record.

This marks the first time any of the U.S. national teams will participate in a PALA continental qualifier. The eight-team championship features Argentina, Canada, Haudenosaunee, Jamaica, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico and the United States. The top four finishers will earn spots in the Division I bracket of the 2026 World Lacrosse Women's Championship in Tokyo, Japan with the next three finishers qualifying for the Division II bracket.

The U.S. has won the last four World Lacrosse Women's Championships, bringing home the title in 2009, 2013, 2017 and 2022.
