Northwestern Volleyball Announces 2025 Big Ten Schedule

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern volleyball's 2025 Big Ten Conference schedule was unveiled on Wednesday by the league office. The 'Cats will play a 20-match slate during conference play, including ten contests in Evanston.

Northwestern's 2025 Big Ten campaign opens with a four-match homestand, beginning with Indiana on September 24. From there, the Wildcats will welcome Oregon (September 28), Michigan State (October 3) and Minnesota (October 5) to Evanston as well.
Overall, the 'Cats will host five 2024 NCAA Tournament teams at Welsh-Ryan Arena this season. Along with Oregon and Minnesota, Northwestern is set to host Illinois (October 19), Washington (November 16) and Wisconsin (November 26). The home schedule also includes Michigan (October 16) and Maryland (November 2).
The rival Illini are one of three opponents the Wildcats will see twice in 2025, joined by Indiana and Iowa. Northwestern will make the return trip to Bloomington on October 26, and then close the season in Champaign with a rematch against the Illini on November 28. The two matches against the Hawkeyes will take place on October 31 in Evanston and November 13 in Iowa City.
The road schedule for Northwestern is highlighted by a visit to the defending National Champions, Penn State, on October 11, and a meeting with Nebraska on October 24. The 'Cats will make their first trip to USC (November 6) and UCLA (November 8) as conference foes in 2025 after hosting both teams in Evanston last season. Also on the road schedule for Northwestern are Rutgers (October 10), Ohio State (November 21) and Purdue (November 23).
