Lauryn Nguyen & Ashley Yun Named WGCA All-Americans

Duo collect Honorable Mention nods from Women’s Golf Coaches Association
EVANSTON, Ill. (May 27, 2025) – Northwestern University senior Lauryn Nguyen (Seattle, Wash./West Seattle) and sophomore Ashley Yun (West Covina, Calif./Walnut), fresh off helping the program win their first national championship, have been named All-Americans by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA), it was announced on Tuesday. Both Honorable Mention selections, Nguyen and Yun are the ninth and 10th individual All-Americans in team history, all of which have come under head coach Emily Fletcher and assistant coach Beth Miller.
Nguyen enjoyed another outstanding campaign in 2024-25, writing the final chapter in her storied Northwestern career by playing a leading role in the team bringing the title home to Evanston. A three-time First Team All-Big Ten selection, Nguyen wraps up her collegiate career with a sparking 72.42 stroke average, a program record, across 137 rounds of play. She finished this season with six top-ten finishes, including winning the Silverado Showdown in early April, her second collegiate victory.
In addition to helping the 'Cats win the national title, Yun capped an extraordinary second season at Northwestern by securing her first collegiate victory at the St Andrews Links Collegiate in St Andrews, Scotland, in mid-October. She went on to close the year with four top-ten finishes, including a second-place showing at the NCAA Norman Regional in early May.
