EVANSTON, Ill. – Six remarkable Northwestern sophomore student-athletes have been named 2025 recipients of the Immersion, Mentorship and Actualization Program (I-MAP) Award. The 2025 I-MAP award winners, recognized at this year's Sophomore Industry Exploration event in April, include Presley Nevadomsky (Women's Soccer), Kolby McClain (Wrestling), Stuart Seymour (Men's Swimming & Diving), Maddy Powers (Cross Country), Erin Boler (Cross Country), and Karina Vasile (Fencing).

I-MAP is an industry immersion program designed to help student-athletes work with mentors, learn about career pathways and make industry contacts. Every student-athlete will be matched with a mentor in their chosen industry, providing them with invaluable firsthand experience and the opportunity to grow their personal and professional connections throughout the immersion program. This experience is open to locations worldwide, offers flexible scheduling, and is facilitated through and sponsored by the David G. Kabiller NU for Life program.

More about the 2025 I-MAP Award recipients:

Presley Nevadomsky (Women's Soccer | Arcadia, California): Nevadomsky is interested in data analytics, particularly the intersection of data science and sports. She hopes that in this experience she can refine her technical skills, collaborate with industry professionals, and gain insight into the realities of working in the data science world.

Kolby McClain (Wrestling | Liberty, Missouri): McClain is interested in the corporate litigation and finance fields. With this experience, McClain wants to ensure that investment banking is the career that best suits him by immersing himself in the heart of the scene and gaining a perspective on what his life would look like working in that field.

Stuart Seymour (Men's Swimming & Diving | Brookfield, Wisconsin): Seymour is interested in pursuing a medical profession, specifically a pediatric specialty. He hopes that through his experience, he will feel more confident about his career paths and gain access to lasting relationships with mentors and friends in the field.

Maddy Powers (Cross Country | Queensbury, New York): Powers is interested in becoming an attorney, specifically in human rights law. Powers hopes to gain first-hand experience with lawyers and clients to see what the various fields of human rights law are like.

Erin Boler (Cross Country | Niskayuna, New York): Boler is interested in the real estate and finance fields. She hopes to gain clarity and direction within the real estate sector during her experience, learning from industry experts, gaining practical experience, and building relationships with professionals in the field.

Karina Vasile (Fencing | Bucharest, Romania): Vasile is interested in the medical and biomedical research fields, particularly the intersection of clinical care, regenerative medicine, and translational research. She wants to combine her passion for scientific discovery and commitment to improving patient outcomes to contribute to the evolving landscape of regenerative medicine and its role in surgical interventions.

I-MAP was designed in 2017 with the generous support of Kellogg School of Management alumnus, Michael Price, to foster connections between current student-athletes, Northwestern alumni, and supporters of Northwestern Athletics around the world through the help of the David G. Kabiller NU for Life Program. These resources are accessible to student-athletes upon their arrival on campus and accompany them throughout their career journeys. As it enters its eighth year, the I-MAP initiative remains dedicated to providing transformative experiences for NU student-athletes, aiding in their preparation for lifelong careers.
