Kabiller NU for Life Program Presents its 13th Class of Kabiller Award Winners

EVANSTON, Ill. – On October 5, at the 13th annual Wildcat Professional Excellence Program (WPEP) event, six extraordinary Northwestern junior student-athletes were named Irving Kabiller Memorial Award recipients. All award winners will receive a professional development experience tailored to their areas of interest, furthering their career exploration, leadership development, and personal growth.

The 2025 Kabiller Award winners are:
 
  • Jude Bosshardt (Men's Soccer) - Animal Welfare, nonprofit leadership
  • Neena Feldman (Women's Tennis) - Biomedical engineering, bioelectronics
  • Jalen Lewis (Football) - Mergers & Acquisitions advisory
  • Christina Liu (Fencing) - Veterinary, conservation medicine
  • Talia Reading (Lacrosse) - Aviation crisis response
  • Crystal Wang (Women's Basketball) - Fashion, branding and sports innovation

The recipients displayed excellence in various ways, from embodying leadership qualities to their commitment to professional development. Their career interests range from M&A to animal welfare.

Jude Bosshardt (Men's Soccer | San Antonio, TX): Interested in gaining hands-on exposure to the nonprofit and social impact industry by attending the Engage for Good Conference to learn about fundraising, partnerships, and scaling mission-driven organizations. He wants to apply these insights towards launching his own nonprofit that connects animal adoption with grief support. 

Neena Feldman (Women's Tennis | Beaverton, OR): Interested in learning about the intersection of biomedical research and space engineering by shadowing professionals who design and launch biological device experiments into space. She hopes to observe how satellites are developed and deployed, deepening her understanding of microgravity research.

Jalen Lewis (Football | Westlake Village, CA): Interested in immersing himself in the world of investment banking, specifically within Sports, Media, and Entertainment M&A. By shadowing professionals at firms in the M&A industry, he aims to learn how major deals are structured, observe client relationships, and participate in simulated transactions. 

Christina Liu (Fencing | Houston, TX): Interested in shadowing wildlife conservationists and veterinarians dedicated to species preservation, specifically endangered animals. She wants to learn about hands-on animal rehabilitation and the One Health approach that links human, animal, and environmental well-being. 

Talia Reading (Lacrosse | Littleton, CO): Interested in exploring the intersection of aviation, crisis response, and humanitarian aid by shadowing aviation units such as Army MEDEVAC, Coast Guard rescue teams, and humanitarian flight organizations. Seeks to observe real-world rescue operations and attend the Heli-Expo conference to understand how aviation supports emergency and relief efforts worldwide. 

Crystal Wang (Women's Basketball | Beijing, China): Interested in exploring the intersection of fashion, athletic performance, and global storytelling by shadowing design and branding professionals. She aims to learn how performance-driven brands and luxury houses craft empowering, inclusive narratives that connect with diverse audiences.
