ROSEMONT, Ill. (April 28, 2025) – The Northwestern Women's Golf team received five Big Ten Conference postseason awards, the Conference announced on Monday. Senior Lauryn Nguyen and sophomore Ashley Yun were named to the All-Big Ten First Team, junior Dianna Lee and first-year Elise Lee captured All-Big Ten Second Team recognition and first-year Hsin Tai Lin received the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award.

Nine different Big Ten institutions were featured on the All-Big Ten First and Second Teams, with Northwestern and Oregon leading the way with four honorees each.

The 'Cats are currently ranked 12th in the nation and will play as the two seed at the NCAA Women's Golf Championships Norman (Okla.) Regional, May 5-7.

Earlier this month, Nguyen (-9, 70-68-69=207) and the Wildcats won their third consecutive team title at the Silverado Showdown in Napa, Calif., led by the senior who convincingly captured her second career collegiate victory. For the win, Nguyen was named the Big Ten Conference Women's Golfer of the Week on April 10. This is her third consecutive first team recognition.

Yun, last year's Big Ten Freshman of the Year, received first team honors after a successful second season highlighted by her first collegiate victory at St Andrews Links Collegiate. She was outstanding in Scotland en route to winning the individual title with a five-under-par 139 (69-70). Yun was named to the Second Team last season.

Junior Dianna Lee (-10, 70-68-68=206), the 2023 Big Ten Freshman of the Year, earned her first career victory and the Wildcats finished second in the team race at the PING/ASU Invitational on March 30. The victory earned Lee the Big Ten Conference Women's Golfer of the Week award (April 3).

Elise Lee, a native of Irvine, Calif., had an impressive first year with the program, highlighted by her third place finish at St Andrews Links Collegiate and 14th place at the Augusta National Women's Amateur (ANWA). Both Lee and Nguyen, as well as future Wildcat Arianna Lau, played in the prestigious ANWA event.

First-year Hsin Tai Lin was named Northwestern's recipient of the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award, which is given to student-athletes with distinguished sportsmanship, ethical behavior, academic standing, and good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. At the Big Ten Championships, she stayed towards the top of the leaderboard throughout the event, eventually finishing tied for fifth.

The Wildcats will travel to the Norman Regional for their 15th consecutive NCAA Women's Golf Championships appearance. The top five teams and the low individual not on an advancing team from each regional site will advance to play at the NCAA Women's Golf Championships, May 16-21, at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.
