Lang Signs Contract with Seattle Seahawks

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern tight end Marshall Lang has signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Seattle Seahawks.
A Cincinnati native, Lang was a mainstay for the Wildcats across five seasons, making 20 career starts and totaling 48 receptions for 491 yards (10.2 ypc) and four touchdowns. A consistent performer on and off the field, Lang was a four-time Academic All-Big Ten selection and was named to the National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society following his final season in Evanston.
Lang appeared in all 12 games during the 2024 campaign, starting three, and recorded 11 catches for 115 yards (10.5 ypc) and a touchdown. In 2023, he helped the Wildcats to an 8-5 record and a Las Vegas Bowl title, catching 11 passes for 116 yards (10.5 ypc) while making five starts. In the 2023 Las Vegas Bowl victory over Utah, Lang tied his career highs with three catches for 39 yards.
Throughout his career, Lang demonstrated steady production, recording double-digit receptions in four straight seasons and averaging over 10.0 yards per catch in each of his final three years. As a junior in 2022, he posted career bests with 15 receptions for 192 yards.
Lang first found the end zone in 2021, when he caught three touchdowns as a sophomore. He also saw game action in five of nine outings on the Wildcats' 2020 team that finished their campaign 7-2 record and won the 2021 Citrus Bowl.
Prior to arriving at Northwestern, Lang starred at St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, where he set a school record with 86 receptions for 1,012 yards as a senior and earned First-Team All-Greater Catholic League and Third-Team All-State honors.
