EVANSTON, Ill. – A season-high 17 goals in the first half by No. 3 Northwestern helped the Wildcats overwhelm visiting Oregon, 19-10, on Senior Day on Sunday afternoon.

Madison Taylor led the way with 11 points on seven goals and four assists, all of which came in the first half as the 'Cats improved to 12-2 overall (6-0 Big Ten) this season. NU has won four-straight contests and 12 straight against Big Ten foes dating back to last season.

Taylor and Lucy Munro each scored a pair of goals and added an assist as the Wildcats jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first 7:10. The Ducks (6-9, 0-7 Big Ten) finally got on the board with 6:55 remaining in the opening frame, but Riley Campbell converted a Taylor feed to bump the lead back to five at 6-1 with 3:59 to go. NU eventually took a 7-3 lead into the break, with Emerson Bohlig and Niki Miles also adding goals in the quarter.

Taylor Lapointe found the scoresheet 40 seconds into the second quarter on another Taylor feed. After Oregon's Bri Carrasquillo cut the NU lead to 8-4 on a free position conversion, Sammy White, Munro and Campbell struck for three goals in a 1:08 span to up the lead to 11-4 with 12:09 to play in the half.

Carrasquillo converted another free position to claw Oregon back to 11-5 with 10:29 left before Taylor completely took over. The nation's top scorer struck for three-straight goals and five of the Wildcats last six tallies of the half. Emerson Bohlig's tally mixed in with 5:05 to play initiated a running clock at 15-5 and the Wildcats went to the break with a 17-5 advantage. The 17 goals are the most Northwestern has scored in the first half this season.

In addition to Taylor's first-half performance, Munro chipped in a hat trick and five points with Campbell posting four points on two goals and two assists in the opening stanza.

After Oregon netted the first tally of the second half, Noel Cumberland struck on a free position shot with 7:45 to go in the third quarter and Miles netted her second of the day 56 seconds later to balloon the Wildcats' lead to 19-6 and close out Northwestern's scoring for the afternoon.

The Wildcats dominated possession overall, claiming a 22-10 advantage on draw controls, with Sam Smith corralling a game-high 13. They also enjoyed a 16-11 edge in ground balls and 7-4 spread in caused turnovers.
