EVANSTON, Ill. - No. 39 Northwestern women's tennis (9-7, 2-2 B1G) welcomes conference newcomers Washington and Oregon to Combe Tennis Center this weekend as Big Ten dual play continues. The 'Cats will face the Huskies on Saturday at 12 p.m. CT, then face off with the Ducks on Monday at 4:30 p.m. CT.
Northwestern is coming off a split in the most recent weekend of action, as they swept the 58th-ranked Huskers last Friday at home before falling to Iowa on Sunday. Kiley Rabjohns went a perfect 3-0 on the weekend, with two doubles wins and a singles victory. Sydney Pratt also picked up three combined victories, including two wins in singles action. That extended her unbeaten singles streak to 11 straight matches and preserved her unblemished record in dual season.
No. 20 Washington (10-2, 3-1 B1G) has won nine of its last ten matchups, with the sole loss coming at the hands of USC on March 14. The Huskies' only other dual loss in 2025 came on January 31, when they suffered a sweep at the hands of UCLA.
Washington's Reece Carter and Alexia Jacobs form the 49th-ranked doubles duo in the nation. Carter and Jacobs are 9-4 in 2025, but are an even 4-4 since the month of February. Carter also ranks 84th nationally among singles competitors.
Heading into Saturday afternoon, Northwestern is 6-2 all-time against Washington. This match will be the first meeting between the two programs since February 17, 2018, when Northwestern claimed a 4-3 victory.
Oregon (7-6, 0-4 B1G) is seeking its first dual victory since February 22. Three of the Ducks' four losses since then have come against ranked teams in Rutgers, UCLA and USC. The Ducks will travel to Champaign to take on Illinois before arriving in Evanston on Monday to face the 'Cats.
The two programs will be meeting for the second time in their history. Their inaugural matchup ended in a 4-3 win for Oregon in 2018.
Following Monday's match, Northwestern will hit the road again to take on Michigan State and Michigan next weekend. First serve from East Lansing on Friday, March 28, is scheduled for 4 p.m. CT.
