BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – A pair of late goals gave Indiana a 2-1 victory over Northwestern on Thursday night at Bill Armstrong Stadium.

Northwestern (5-3-6, 1-2-4 Big Ten) jumped out to control the game early. The Wildcats notched the game's first four shots and held a 7-1 advantage in shots in the game's first 30 minutes.

In the 31st minute, senior forward Kelsey Kwon drew a foul in the Hoosiers' 18-yard box to set up a Wildcats' penalty kick. Senior midfielder Caterina Regazzoni stepped up to the spot and sent the Hoosier goalkeeper the wrong way to give NU a 1-0 lead. Regazzoni's goal is her career-high fourth goal of the season and first penalty kick goal of her career. NU took a 1-0 lead and a 9-4 advantage in shots into halftime.

The Wildcats continued to search for a second goal early in the second half, nearly doubling the lead on multiple occasions, but were unable to find the back of the net.

In the 81st minute, Indiana (4-4-5, 1-2-4 Big Ten) leveled the game on a goal by freshman defender Grace Hamm. Sophomore midfielder Maggie Ledwith netted the winner for the Hoosiers in the 89th minute.

Northwestern will return home to Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium on Sunday for Senior Day against Rutgers. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. CT and will be streamed on B1G+.
