‘Cats Welcome No. 17 Indiana Friday For Senior Night

Northwestern to honor graduating class in special pregame ceremony
EVANSTON, Ill. (October 30, 2025) – After back-to-back games away from home, Northwestern men's soccer (6-5-3, 1-4-2 B1G) returns to the friendly confines of Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium on Friday evening to host No. 17 Indiana on Senior Night.
 
Prior to the scheduled 6:30 p.m. CT kickoff against the Hoosiers, the Wildcats will honor their graduating senior class in a special ceremony. During their time in Evanston, the group has helped lead Northwestern to 28 victories, including a 10-win campaign in 2023.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Aaron O'Reilly found the back of the net for the third time this season as Northwestern gave No. 13 Michigan all it could handle last Friday, ultimately dropping a 2-1 decision to the Wolverines at U-M Soccer Stadium in Ann Arbor, Mich. O'Reilly continued his impressive first-year campaign by firing home in the 32nd minute off an assist by Peter Riesz to put the 'Cats on the board.
 
SCOUTING INDIANA
Indiana, which arrives in Evanston at 11-4-1 overall and 4-4 in Big Ten Conference action, saw a four-game win streak snapped last Friday, dropping a 3-2 decision to No. 4 Maryland at Ludwig Field. Led by four-time Big Ten Coach of the Year Todd Yeagley, the Hoosiers are currently slotted at No. 17 in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll.
 
Indiana boasts one of the nation's top offensive attacks, averaging 2.56 goals per game, a mark that ranks second in the Big Ten and third nationally in Division I. Yeagley's crew has fired home a Big Ten-best 41 goals across 16 contests this season.
 
Palmer Ault finds himself in the midst of a dominant 2025 campaign. Ault, who spent the first three years of his career at Butler, resides as the nation's leader in overall points (38), with a Division I-best 15 goals to his name. Five of Ault's goals have been game-winning strikes. The versatile forward also ranks second nationally in assists, having dished out eight helpers. Collins Oduro sits second on the Indiana roster in both goals (4) and assists (6), sporting a pair of game-winning tallies of his own. In total, 15 Hoosiers have found the back of the net this season.
 
Judewellin Michel has anchored the Indiana defense of late, starting in four straight games in goal for Yeagley. Michel posted four-save outings against both No. 25 Kentucky and No. 4 Maryland as the Hoosiers have gone 3-1 over the aforementioned stretch.
 
SERIES STUFF
Friday's Senior Night tilt will serve as the 50th all-time meeting between Northwestern and Indiana. Following a win over the 'Cats at Bill Armstrong Stadium last season, the Hoosiers extended their lead in the all-time series to 38-4-7 (.847).
 
In Indiana's last visit to Evanston, Nigel Prince scored the night's deciding goal in the 25th minute as Northwestern knocked off the then No. 25 Hoosiers by a 1-0 final on October 24, 2023.
