Northwestern Advances to East Lake Cup Final Against Oregon

ATLANTA, Ga. (October 28, 2025) – After securing the No. 3 seed in match play on Monday, the Northwestern University women's golf team defeated USC in decisive fashion in the semifinals at the East Lake Cup.
Competing at the prestigious East Lake Golf Club (par 72; 6,185 yards), the Wildcats punched their ticket to Wednesday's championship match with a 4-1 victory over the Trojans.
Leading off the day for the 'Cats was Ashley Yun, who won holes 12-14 consecutively to even the match and take the lead. Yun wouldn't look back, securing the victory with a par on hole 18 over Sarah Hammett.
Facing off against Elise Lee, first-year Arianna Lau struck first with a birdie on the first hole. With the match heading to a playoff, Lau made par on the 15th hole to secure the match.
After trailing by two holes early on, Megan Meng rallied to even the match by the sixth hole and took the lead on the 11th. Meng took a two-hole lead into hole 17, where she made par to take victory over Kylie Chong.
Dianna Lee took the lead from the start with a birdie on the first hole and led throughout the entire match. Lee, who won the individual championship on Monday, made par on hole 17 to defeat Catherine Park 2&1.
Hsin Tai Lin made four birdies on the day but fell to Jasmine Koo on the 20th hole as the match went into playoff holes.
