EVANSTON, Ill. - After posting an eight-point weekend, Northwestern field hockey's Ashley Sessa has earned Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season. The junior forward logged three goals and two assists across the two Big Ten games at home, as the No. 2 Wildcats defeated No. 13 Michigan, 3-1, and No. 18 Ohio State, 7-0.

In just two seasons in the conference, Sessa has already collected the offensive weekly accolade on six occasions. She last won the award on Oct. 20, 2025. Sessa leads NU (15-1, 7-0 Big Ten) in points (43), second-most in the Big Ten.
The junior's two-goal performance against No. 18 Ohio State was her fifth multi-goal game of the season. It also put Sessa on Northwestern's career scoring leaderboard, as she reached 110 points across her sophomore and junior seasons so far, already good for No. 10 in program history.

Against No. 13 Michigan, she tallied one goal and one assist as the Wildcats made their way to their third-straight outright Big Ten regular-season championship.

Sessa is second in the conference in points (43), first in assists (15), and third in goals (14). Nationally, the forward is third in points per game (2.87) and fifth in assists per game (1.00).

Northwestern has now won 27 regular season Big Ten games in a row, and looks to cap off the 2025 season with a perfect conference record in East Lansing, Mich. Sessa and the 'Cats visit Michigan State on Friday, Oct. 31, for their final regular-season competition. The conference clash is slated for a 2 p.m. CT pass-back, to be streamed on B1G+.
