'Cats Host Badgers in Regular Season Finale

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern women's concludes regular season play when it hosts No. 20 Wisconsin on Sunday at Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. CT on B1G+.
Northwestern (8-3-6, 4-2-4 Big Ten) currently sits in a tie for seventh place in the Big Ten standings heading into the final matchday of regular season play. NU currently ranks No. 31 in the NCAA DI Women's Soccer RPI.
LAST TIME OUT
Last time out, the Wildcats earned a 3-1 victory at Purdue on Sunday, Oct. 19 for their third straight win. The win marked NU's first time allowing a goal in a win in 2025. Caterina Regazzoni tallied her fifth goal of the season in the 13th minute to open the scoring. Purdue equalized before half, but Kennedy Roesch opened the second half with goals in the 48th and 51st minutes to put NU in front for good. Roesch's brace was the first of her career and first by a Wildcat since Oct. 15, 2023 when Ella Hase tallied a pair of goals vs. Penn State.

First-year goalkeeper Nyamma Nelson leads the Big Ten and ranks seventh nationally with nine shutouts on the 2025 campaign. Nelson's nine clean sheets are fourth-most in school history and tied for the most by a first-year goalkeeper in school history.
