Arianna Lau Tabbed for Big Ten Freshman of the Week Honors

EVANSTON, Ill. (October 2, 2025) – In an announcement made by the Big Ten Conference Thursday afternoon, first-year Arianna Lau has been named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week. The award marks the second weekly conference honor of Lau's season.
Lau took her third top-10 finish in as many events, placing in a share of sixth at the Windy City Collegiate Classic. The first-year from Hong Kong concluded the event at four under par, tied with teammate Dianna Lee as the leading finisher for the Wildcats.
Lau opened the week with a three-under 69 in her first round, her lowest score to date this season, following it up with a one-under 71 in her second round. Lau finished her week with an even-par 72 in her final round, capped off with a pressure packed putt on 18 to clinch a share of the team championship for the Wildcats.
Northwestern finished the Windy City Collegiate Classic at 13-under-par, tying Duke with a score of 851 (278-285-288).
Up next, Northwestern travels to California to take on the Stanford Intercollegiate, October 17-19, in Stanford, California.
