EVANSTON, Ill. (October 16, 2025) – Northwestern graduate Cameron Adam has achieved the latest step on his professional journey. After performing at some of golf's largest stages on the amateur level over the summer, Adam secured his DP World Tour card for the 2026 season this morning via the Global Amateur Pathway.

"It's wild but also really exciting," Adam said. "Playing on the DP World Tour was the dream when I was a wee kid so the fact that I'm going to be able to do it is insane and somewhat still sinking in. To be able to secure such strong playing status the same year I graduated from Northwestern means the world. I can't wait to get started and hopefully hit the ground running."

First created in 2024 in partnership with the R&A and the PGA Tour, the Global Amateur Pathway creates a pipeline for non-collegiate amateurs to earn their status on the DP World Tour. Players compete over a 12-month period, with the top ranked amateur golfer within the top 20 of the World Amateur Golf Rankings at the end of the ranking period receiving his DP World Tour card for the following season.

Adam, the No. 20 ranked golfer according to WAGR, started his amateur career following his graduation in June, immediately making a name for himself in The Open Amateur Series. After winning the St Andrews Links Trophy at the Old Course in his native Scotland, Adam secured his place at the 153rd Open Championship at Royal Portrush.

Adam continued his summer surge at the St Andrews Trophy, where he led Great Britain and Ireland to victory over the continent of Europe, going undefeated in his four matches in the process.

After a share of 5th place at the Western Amateur Championship, Adam competed alongside his former Northwestern teammate Daniel Svärd at the 125th U.S. Amateur at the Olympic Club in San Francisco, California.

Adam joined team GB&I at the Walker Cup at Cypress Point, one of the most prestigious amateur competitions in the world. He then made his DP World Tour in August, joining fellow alumni Luke Donald and Matt Fitzpatrick at the Betfred British Masters, where he finished in 19th at seven-under-par as an amateur.

"We are so proud of Cameron and this fantastic achievement," Northwestern men's golf head coach David Inglis said. "This is the payoff for all his hard work and gives him the best possible opportunity as he starts his professional career. I think it's a testament to the golf program we have that Cameron was ready to make the jump directly from college and amateur golf to playing on the DP World Tour next season."

A four-year player at Northwestern, Adam led the Wildcats with a stroke average of 70.93 in his senior season. He finished tied with Svärd for the team lead with five top-5 finishes, capturing his maiden collegiate win as the 'Cats claimed the team title at The Clerico.
