Women's Tennis Unveils Dual Schedule

EVANSTON, Ill. - Set to begin her 27th season at the helm, Northwestern head women's tennis coach Claire Pollard revealed the Wildcats' schedule for the 2024-25 winter and spring dual season on Tuesday. The 'Cats are set to host seven non-conference matchups in addition to the ITA National Team Indoor Championships before beginning Big Ten action in March.
Northwestern opens up its winter at home with a quad invite (Jan. 10-12), featuring Colorado, Notre Dame and NIU. Other home highlights include local foes DePaul (Jan. 26) and UIC (Feb. 16), along with Vanderbilt (Feb. 21), who was tabbed No. 21 in the ITA's preseason team rankings.
In February, Northwestern will host the 2025 National Team Indoor Championships. As one of two host schools, the 'Cats will receive an auto-bid to the competition, which will be hosted at Combe Tennis Center from Feb. 7 to Feb. 11. For more on the newly reformatted ITA Championships, click here.
Big Ten play begins in March with a road swing for the 'Cats, as they take on Wisconsin (March 7) and Minnesota (March 9) in their first weekend of conference action. They'll also visit 2024 regular season and tournament champions Michigan (March 30) as part of their road slate, which concludes in the regular season's final weekend at Purdue (April 19) and Indiana (April 20).
At home in Evanston, Northwestern is set to host seven conference opponents, including new members Washington (March 22) and Oregon (March 24). Combe will also play host to No. 15 Ohio State (April 4), along with in-state rival Illinois (April 12).
The 2025 Big Ten Women's Tennis Championships will be hosted at The Ojai as part of the 123rd annual Ojai Tennis Tournament in Ojai, Calif. The conference's top 12 teams will compete for the tournament title, which earns them an automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Team Championships.
