EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern will host the ITA Women's National Team Indoor Championships in 2025 and 2026, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced on Thursday. As the hosting team, the Wildcats will receive a wild card bid to the competition in both years.

The 2025 Team Indoor Championship will be the first with a new format, announced by the ITA on Wednesday. Northwestern will co-host the first portion of the event with the University of Illinois, with each school hosting eight teams - including themselves - during the first two rounds of play. From there, Northwestern will host the four advancing teams for the semifinals and the championship at Combe Tennis Center.

The event will showcase the 'Cats' indoor facilities, which will be newly renovated at the time of competition. Northwestern tennis unveiled renovated locker rooms in October, the first in a series of updates scheduled to improve the facilities. Next up, the programs will introduce a new video scoreboard in Combe in the coming months.

"We are thrilled that we'll be hosting the newly formatted National Indoor Championships," Head Women's Tennis Coach Claire Pollard said in a release published by the ITA. "Our primary goal is to ensure that every student-athlete participating has a truly extraordinary experience…we're confident that this championship will be unforgettable."
