Six Wildcats Named to New York Charging Roster for Inaugural WLL Season

EVANSTON, Ill. — Six Northwestern alumnae have been named to the New York Charging roster for the inaugural season of the Maybelline Women's Lacrosse League (WLL).
Erin Coykendall (Attack) ranks third all-time in points at Northwestern (368). A First Team IWLCA All-American, Coykendall notched 171 goals, 197 assists and 72 ground balls throughout her career as a Wildcat.
Lauren Gilbert (Midfield), a 2022 graduate, earned All-American honors at Northwestern. She led Northwestern with 79 goals and 106 points in her final year, ranking among national leaders in both categories.
Kendall Halpern (Defense), a four-year starter for the 'Cats, was named a 2024 IWLCA Third Team All-American. Halpern caused 87 turnovers and collected 119 ground balls over her career.
Molly Laliberty (Goalkeeper) transferred to Northwestern for her fifth and sixth collegiate seasons after spending her first four years at Tufts. A two-time Division III Goalkeeper of the Year, Laliberty earned Second Team All-Big Ten honors in 2023 and helped the Wildcats win the National Championship.
Madison Doucette (Goalkeeper) capped her Northwestern career in 2022 with 166 saves and a 16-5 record as the starting goalkeeper. Doucette Boasted an 11.83 goals against average and a .407 save percentage with a 32-8 record while leading NU to the 2021 and 2022 NCAA Final Four
These six Wildcats will play for the New York Charging, one of the four inaugural teams in the WLL. The WLL will feature four teams competing in the Olympic Sixes format, with the Championship Series taking place in 2025. The inaugural competition will be held at the St. James facility in Springfield, Va., from Feb. 11-17. The 12-player rosters will compete in three round-robin games before the semifinals on Sunday, Feb. 16, and the title game on Monday, Feb. 17.
Izzy Scane (Attack) is the NCAA all-time leading scorer and a two-time Tewaaraton Award winner (2023, 2024). She concluded her career at Northwestern as two-time IWLCA Player of the year, three-time Big Ten Player of the Year and earned consecutive Honda Sport Awards in 2023 and 2024.
