Northwestern Field Hockey Staff Named 2024 NFHCA Coaching Staff of the Year

EVANSTON, Ill. — The Northwestern field hockey coaching staff of head coach Tracey Fuchs, and assistant coaches Georgia Holland and Will Byrne have been named the 2024 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I National Coaching Staff of the Year, winning the award for the second straight year and the third time in the last four seasons.
 
The staff led Northwestern to its second NCAA National Championship in program history and a program-best 23-1 record. The Wildcats secured their second-straight Big Ten Conference regular season title with a perfect 8-0 league record, while extending their home win streak to 22 games.

In 2024, Northwestern notched program single season records in Big Ten wins (8), winning percentage (.958), shutouts (14), consecutive shutouts (7), assists per game (3.54), goals (86), assists (85) and points (257).

The Wildcats led the nation in total goals (86) and winning percentage (.958) and ranked second nationally in goals per game (3.58).

Eight players earned NFHCA All-Region honors (Olivia Bent-Cole, Greta Hinke, Ashley Sessa, Annabel Skubisz, Ilse Tromp, Lauren Wadas, Maddie Zimmer) and five were named All-Americans (Ashley Sessa, Annabel Skubisz, Ilse Tromp, Lauren Wadas, Maddie Zimmer).
