NU Suffers First Setback at Virginia

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Northwestern fell to RV Virginia 2-0 Sunday, August 18 on the road at Klöckner Stadium.
The loss was Northwestern's first of the season, moving the Wildcats to 1-1 on the 2024 campaign.
How it Happened
After the Cavaliers took a 2-0 lead into halftime, Northwestern kept Virginia scoreless the rest of the way. No Northwestern players recorded a save in the game. The Wildcats recorded eight shots in the loss, two of them on goal. Northwestern faced nine Virginia shots, one of them on goal.
