‘Cats to host Windy City Collegiate Classic at Westmoreland Country Club, September 30 – October 1

EVANSTON, Ill. (August 13, 2024) – Coming off the program's 10th appearance at the NCAA Championship Finals, Northwestern University head women's golf coach Emily Fletcher unveiled the Wildcats' schedule for the upcoming 2024-25 season on Tuesday.  The 'Cats will compete in eight regular-season events ahead of postseason play.

After raising the curtain on the new slate at the Mason Rudolph Championship, September 20-22, in Franklin, Tenn., Fletcher's crew will be in action close to home when it hosts the Windy City Collegiate Classic at Westmoreland Country Club in nearby Wilmette, Ill.  The event, scheduled for September 30 – October 1, routinely attracts one of the deepest fields in all of collegiate golf and features multiple nationally-ranked teams.

Less than two weeks later, the 'Cats will trek across the pond to compete at the St. Andrews Links Collegiate in St. Andrews, Scotland, where they will battle alongside the University of St. Andrews, Arizona, and Howard in a three-day event, with final-round play set for the historic Old Course at St. Andrews.

Following a trip to Florida over Martin Luther King Day weekend, January 18-20, Northwestern officially opens its spring season by visiting Rio Grande, Puerto Rico for the Purdue Puerto Rico Classic, February 2-4.  The 'Cats return to The Sunshine State for the Moon Golf Invitational, February 16-18, in Melbourne, Fla. before opening the month of March at the prestigious Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, March 3-5, in Hilton Head Island, S.C.

Northwestern will have the opportunity to defend a pair of team championships to close the regular season, as it competes at the PING/ASU Invitational, March 28-30, and the Silverado Showdown, April 7-9, in preparation for postseason action.  The Wildcats have won the team titles at both events in each of the last two seasons.

The postseason begins April 18-20 as Bulle Rock Golf Course in Havre de Grace, Md. once again plays host to the Big Ten Conference Women's Golf Championships.

NCAA Regional action is slated for May 5-7, while the NCAA Women's Golf Championships will return to the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif., May 16-21.

A six-time Big Ten Conference Coach of the Year selection, Fletcher is slated to welcome back six letterwinners from last season's squad, a group that includes 2023-24 All-Big Ten Conference honorees Lauryn Nguyen and Ashley Yun, the latter of who was also named Big Ten Freshman of the Year.  The 'Cats are also set to add a talented trio of newcomers in first-years Elise Lee, Megan Meng, and Hsin Tai Lin.
