EVANSTON, Ill. — A quartet of Northwestern Wildcats have once again made their mark on the IWCLA All-American teams for the 2024 season. Izzy Scane and Erin Coykendall, along with Madison Taylor, have earned First Team honors, while Kendall Halpern has been recognized with a Third Team selection.

Scane has made her mark in history by breaking the all-time NCAA career goal-scoring record, surpassing Charlotte North's previous record of 358 goals. Continuing her exceptional performance, she has netted 79 goals this season. If she reaches 85 goals, she will lead the nation in goals for the second consecutive year, following her 99-goal season in 2023. Achieving this would make her the first player to lead the nation in goals in back-to-back seasons since Jen Adams of Maryland did so from 1999 to 2001. Scane has been named IWCLA Player of the Week three times this season, most recently after scoring five goals and providing one assists in Northwestern's second-round victory over Denver. This marks Scane's third First Team All-American selection, following her previous honors in 2021 and 2023.

Coykendall has also had a phenomenal season, earning her second consecutive First Team All-American selection. She has recorded 55 assists this season, the highest in her career and fourth in program history for a single season. Her 195 career assists are the second-most in Northwestern program history, trailing only Hannah Nielsen's 224 (2006-09), and the sixth-most in Division I history. Additionally, Coykendall has scored 57 goals this season, further cementing her status as a key contributor to Northwestern's offensive success.

Taylor, a sophomore attacker, joins her teammates on the First Team after a stellar season. She has scored 75 goals and provided 32 assists, demonstrating her dual threat as both a scorer and playmaker. Taylor's 128 goals in her first two seasons are the most by any Wildcat in their first two seasons in program history. Additionally, her versatility and athleticism have been crucial on both ends of the field, contributing significantly to draw controls and defensive plays. This is Taylor's first All-American recognition.

Halpern, earning her first All-American honor, has been a cornerstone of Northwestern's defense. She leads the team with 32 caused turnovers and also in ground balls with 39. Her defensive prowess has been instrumental in the Wildcats' strong defensive record this season, making her a well-deserved Third Team All-American selection.

All four athletes will take to the field tomorrow when they face the Florida Gators in the NCAA Semifinals at 2 p.m. CT in Cary, NC. The game will be broadcast live on ESPNU.
