Howard Joins Northwestern Women's Soccer as Graduate Transfer

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern women's soccer announced the addition of graduate transfer Madison Howard from Wake Forest. Howard will pursue a Master's of Science in Epidemiology at Northwestern.

"I'm super excited to get to Northwestern. I can't wait to be a part of such an amazing team and get to work. Go 'Cats!" Howard said.

The Greensboro, North Carolina native is coming off of a 2023 season in which she tallied 720 minutes over nine starts, posting a .697 save percentage, a 1.25 goals against average, and two clean sheets. In a 6-0 victory over Iona, she converted a penalty kick from the spot for her first career goal.

Throughout her time as a Demon Deacon, Howard totaled 1,123 minutes and 35 saves to go along with a career .686 save percentage. She was also a part of two NCAA tournament teams as Wake Forest earned berths in 2021 and 2022. 

Before Wake, Howard played varsity soccer for Greensboro Day School where she won two conference championships and was twice named to the North Carolina All-State team. In high school she played club soccer for NC Fusion ECNL, and in 2023 was named to the roster of the Charlotte Independence in the USL W.
