EVANSTON, Ill. – Fresh off a pair of midweek wins, Northwestern baseball travels to Lake Charles, Louisiana for a three-game series at McNeese. Friday and Sunday's games will be streamed on ESPN+.

Northwestern picked a pair of midweek wins at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi earlier this week. The Wildcats scored a season-high 16 runs en route to a 16-5 (7 inn.) run-rule victory on Tuesday, putting up five runs in the second and fourth innings. Matt McClure earned the win, allowing one run over five innings, striking out five batters. Trent Liolios (2-for-4, 2 runs, 4 RBI) slugged his first HR of 2024, a solo shot to left center in the fifth inning to put NU up 13-5. Northwestern followed up Tuesday's performance with another come-from-behind win behind a pair of home runs from Griffin Arnone (2-for-3, 2 runs, 4 RBI). Arnone homered in the fifth inning to put NU up 4-3 and again in the seventh to give the 'Cats a 7-6 edge. With Northwestern leading 8-6 in the middle of the eighth inning, the umpires halted the game due to inclement weather, reverting the final score to the last completed inning, giving the Wildcats a 7-6 win.
