EVANSTON, Ill. - Boo Buie scored a game-high 22 points to help lead Northwestern to an 80-68 victory over Nebraska inside Welsh-Ryan Arena on Wednesday night. The Wildcats (16-7, 7-5 B1G) led by as many as 21 points in the wire-to-wire victory, improving to 9-1 in their last 10 conference home game, the program's best mark since going 9-1 over the 1965-66 and 1966-67 seasons.

Buie added four assists and two steals stat line, while Ryan Langborg helped out with 18 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Brooks Barnhizer chipped in with his second double-double in as many games with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Nick Martinelli scored 15 points all in the second half, a career-high against a Big Ten team, and played a career-high 31 minutes.
Northwestern piled up 17 assists on 27 made field goals and held a 26-7 advantage in points off turnovers.

Northwestern kept its lead intact before going on a 10-0 run, finished off by Martinelli's layup, to grow the lead to 64-43 with 9:15 to go in the contest. The Cornhuskers narrowed the margin somewhat before the game was over, but the Wildcats were never in danger in the 80-68 win. Northwestern capitalized on 10 Nebraska turnovers in the half.
