‘Cats to host 10 conference opponents in upcoming season

EVANSTON, Ill. (February 15, 2024) – Northwestern University volleyball learned of its Big Ten Conference opponents for the 2024 season following the release of the league's opponent rotation by the conference office on Thursday.  The Wildcats will host 10 conference foes inside Welsh-Ryan Arena during the upcoming campaign.

Nebraska and Wisconsin, both of who appeared in this past season's NCAA Final Four, will make their way to Evanston, in addition to Big Ten newcomers UCLA and USC.  Matchups against Illinois, Iowa, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue, and Rutgers round out the Wildcats' home league slate.

The 10-match road docket is highlighted by trips to new conference members Oregon and Washington, in addition to return clashes with Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin.  Northwestern will also visit Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, and Michigan State.

Northwestern will be piloted by newly appointed Head Coach Tim Nollan, who makes his way to Evanston following a successful eight-year stay at Grand Canyon University that was capped off by a 2023 season in which he led the program to a Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Championship and the Lopes' first berth in the NCAA Tournament.
