EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern Lacrosse is preparing for an exciting 2025 season, set to feature high-profile matchups against some of the nation's top programs. With the addition of Oregon and USC to the Big Ten, the Wildcats are ready for new challenges while continuing to face traditional rivals.
The 2025 campaign kicks off on February 7 with a thrilling home opener against Notre Dame, a game that is expected to set the tone for the season. Other key non-conference games include home matchups against Boston College on February 15 at home, as well as an away contest against Syracuse on February 25. Additionally, the Wildcats will host North Carolina in a highly anticipated non-conference game on March 27.
The Big Ten will once again be a tough battleground for the Wildcats, with key conference matchups scheduled throughout the season. Home games against Penn State on March 16, Maryland on March 22, and Michigan on April 17 will be crucial for the Wildcats as they aim to maintain their position among the conference elite. Notably, the Wildcats' games against Oregon and Michigan will be played outdoors at Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium, adding extra layer of excitement.
The addition of Oregon and USC to the Big Ten provides fresh competition for the Wildcats. These games will be important as both teams enter their inaugural seasons in the Big Ten. Northwestern will face USC on March 30 in Los Angeles, and Oregon will visit Evanston on April 13.
