Northwestern Women’s Golf Signs Arianna Lau

Hong Kong, China native to join ‘Cats at the start of the 2025-26 season
EVANSTON, Ill. (November 13, 2024) – Northwestern University head women's golf coach Emily Fletcher announced the signing of Arianna Lau (Hong Kong, China/Malvern College Hong Kong) to an Athletics Scholarship Agreement on Wednesday. Lau, who will arrive at Northwestern by way of Hong Kong, China, is set to join the 'Cats prior to the start of the 2025-26 academic year.
"We are thrilled to welcome Arianna to our Wildcat Golf Family," Fletcher said. "She is going to be a formidable force in women's college golf and we couldn't be more proud that she chose Northwestern. Arianna is a tireless worker dedicated to improving, as evidenced by her climb to No. 62 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings."

High School/Club: Native of Hong Kong, China … Ranked No. 62 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings … Member of the Hong Kong National Team … Won the 2024 IMG Academy Junior World Golf Championship with a 205 (70-66-69) following a runner-up finish at the event the year prior … Was also victorious at the APGC Junior Championship, the EFG-CLPGQ Series event in Singapore and the Hong Kong Ladies Close Amateur and Mid-Amateur Championship … Placed third overall at the World Junior Girls Championship … Shared seventh at the Canadian Women's Amateur and advanced to the Round of 32 at the US Girls' Junior Championship at El Caballero Country Club in Tarzana, Calif. … Tied for 11th place at the Singapore Ladies Masters … Picked up three victories during 2023, winning the APGC Junior Championship, the Hong Kong Junior Close Championship, and the FCG Collegiate Series event at Twin Oaks Golf Course … Intends to study within the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences.
