Northwestern Readies For Final Postseason Tune-Up At Bradley Pink Classic

‘Cats to compete at Newman Golf Course in Peoria, Ill. on Friday
EVANSTON, Ill. (October 17, 2024) – After being idle last weekend, Northwestern cross country will close out the regular season portion of its 2024 schedule this Friday at the Bradley Pink Classic in Peoria, Ill.
The 'Cats will begin action at the Newman Golf Course by competing in the women's 6k white race at 2:15 p.m., with the women's 6k red race to follow at 3:45 p.m. ESPN+ will provide live coverage of the full meet. Links to watch and follow live results can be accessed above.
Currently ranked third in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Midwest Region Rankings, Northwestern features as part of a field that includes Notre Dame, which sits at No. 4 in the USTFCCCA National Coaches Poll, as well fellow regional powers Bradley, Iowa, Missouri, and North Dakota State.
In its most recent action, Northwestern competed at the Loyola Lakefront Invitational back on October 4 in Chicago, Ill., with four 'Cats setting new 6k personal bests. Jackie Holman led the attack for the 'Cats on the shores of Lake Michigan, taking over 40 seconds off her previous top time en route to a runner-up finish in 21:15.42.
Anna Hightower (16th; 21:43.05) and Fiona Lenth (21st; 21:58.07) joined Holman inside the top 25, while Mia Mraz (29th; 22:08.56) and Audrey Bannister (35th; 22:28.9) rounded out the Wildcats' top five.
Following the Bradley Pink Classic, Northwestern will set its focus on the postseason, which gets underway on Friday, November 1 at the Big Ten Cross Country Championships in Champaign, Ill.
