
Field Hockey Stars Join the Lake Show: Welcome Alia Marshall and Lindsey Frank to Northwestern Lacrosse

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern Lacrosse is excited to introduce the newest team members, Alia Marshall and Lindsey Frank, as they seamlessly transition from their distinguished field hockey careers to contribute their remarkable talent and experience to our lacrosse family.
Alia Marshall, a five-year field hockey standout at Northwestern, boasts an impressive record, including being part of the 2021 National Championship team and earning the title of 2023 All-American. Marshall's high school experience at Cape Henlopen was distinguished by her exceptional skills in both lacrosse and field hockey, earning her the Delaware Player of the Year recognition in both sports.
Lindsey Frank, a versatile athlete with four years of experience in both lacrosse and field hockey at the University of Richmond, is now set to make her mark with Northwestern lacrosse during her graduate year. During her time at Richmond, Frank was named 2023 RVA Sports Awards Female Athlete of the Year and tallied a total of 234 points and 164 goals.
The 2023 Northwestern Field Hockey program displayed a remarkable season finishing as national runners-up. The 'Cats entered the championship with a program-record 21-game win streak, setting a new high for victories in a single season. Marshall and Frank, integral to the team, contributed to the historic success as they went undefeated on the road for the first time in program history. Their collective efforts helped the team achieve a single-season-best .913 winning percentage overall, making it one of the most memorable seasons in Northwestern Field Hockey history.
The 2024 Northwestern Lacrosse season is set to kick off with a home exhibition game against Stanford on January 28 at 1:00 p.m. CT. Join us in supporting the Wildcats as they gear up for what is sure to be an exhilarating season.
