Elyjah Williams Named to Orlando Magic Summer League Team

ORLANDO – Northwestern men's basketball alum and Evanston native Elyjah Williams was named to the Orlando Magic summer league roster on Thursday afternoon. Williams, who played one season for the Wildcats as a graduate transfer in 2021-22, is appearing on his first NBA summer league roster after suiting up for Decic in Montenegro last season.
 
Williams averaged 18.5 points, 8.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists over 19 games in 2022-23 for Decic and was named second-team all-league by Eurobasket.com. He poured in a career-high 33 points with seven rebounds and seven assists against league champion Mornar.
 

During his five-year collegiate career, he averaged 7.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game over 145 games at Northwestern and Fairleigh Dickinson. The 6-7 forward posted career totals of 1,146 career points and 745 rebounds.
 
Orlando kicks off summer league play in Las Vegas on Saturday, July 8 vs. Detroit. The 18th NBA 2K24 Summer League will feature all 30 NBA teams playing at least five games each. Each team will play four games from July 7-14. After each team plays four games, the top four teams will advance to the playoffs and participate in the semifinals on Sunday, July 16. The two winning teams from the semifinal games will meet in the championship game on Monday, July 17.
