Twenty Wildcats Named USFCA All-Academic Honorees

Northwestern also receives Team All-Academic Award
EVANSTON, Ill. (June 22, 2023) – Twenty members of the Northwestern fencing team earned United States Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA) All-Academic honors, it was announced Thursday by the organization. Northwestern's 20 selections led all Central Collegiate Fencing Conference (CCFC) women's programs, with 17 Wildcats taking home Scholar of Distinction nods.
In addition to the individual recognition, the 'Cats were also one of 22 women's programs to be named an All-Academic Team by the USFCA. Head coach Zach Moss' team closed the year with a 3.58 cumulative grade-point average that ranked 11th nationally among member institutions.
To qualify for USFCA All-Academic Teams, student-athletes must have achieved an in-season grade-point average of 3.3 of higher. Scholar of Distinction honors were awarded to student-athletes at member institutions who sported an in-season grade-point average of 3.7 or higher.
