Northwestern posted six top-eight finishes at NCAA Midwest Regional
EVANSTON, Ill. (March 14, 2023) – Four members of the No. 4 Northwestern fencing team have qualified for the NCAA Fencing Championships, it was announced on Tuesday.
Anna Biasco (Foil), Karen Wang (Epee), Megumi Oishi (Sabre), and Sky Miller (Sabre) will represent the Wildcats at the national meet.
Northwestern's quartet of NCAA qualifiers were part of a group of six 'Cats who posted top-eight finishes at this past Saturday's NCAA Midwest Regional inside Welsh-Ryan Arena.
Oishi continued a terrific debut season in Evanston on the regional stage, placing third in the sabre, the top finish by a Wildcat across all three weapons. Miller, who will be returning to her hometown of Durham, N.C. to make the third NCAA Championships appearance of her career, finished just back of Oishi in fourth.
