EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern women's basketball returns to Welsh-Ryan Arena on Sunday for their final home non-conference matchup as they prepare to take on the Bradley Braves. The game is set to tip off at 2:00 p.m. on B1G+.
The Wildcats (3-7) will look to halt a losing streak and get back on track before the holiday break against a 4-5 Bradley team. Northwestern and Bradley have gone 2-2 against one another all time, with both sides winning each of their home matchups.
Despite the recent skid, the 'Cats have received production from all parts of their lineup. For the fourth time this season, four or more players reached double-digit scoring last time out against DePaul. Melannie Daley (13), Casey Harter (13), Paige Mott (11) and Caroline Lau (10) all made impacts on Wednesday at Wintrust Arena.
In her second straight start, first year Harter came just one shy of her career high for points and tied Daley for the team lead. Harter also led the team in rebounds (6) and logged a career best five assists to lead the team in that category as well. The guard has now scored in double figures in four of her last five games and is averaging 10.4 points per game during that span.
The 'Cats' other leading scorer, Daley, has also been heating up again lately, scoring in double figures in three of her last five. After opening the season with back-to-back 20-point games, the junior has now scored ten or more in seven of ten games overall this season and is averaging a team-best 12.2 points per game on the year.
After Sunday's game, the Wildcats will hit the road for the final non-conference matchup against Temple. That game, set for Thursday, Dec. 21, will tip off at 10 a.m. CT.
