'Cats Return Home to Face Ramblers on Field Trip Day

Evanston, Ill. - Northwestern women's basketball will return home this Wednesday to take on the Loyola Ramblers on Field Trip Day at Welsh-Ryan Arena. Tip-off between the two Chicago teams is set for 11:00 am CT and will be streamed on B1G+.
The 'Cats will look to defend their undefeated home record and get back on track after falling to No. 13 Florida State and Belmont at the Ball Dawgs Classic last week in Las Vegas, Nev. This will be the 26th time the 'Cats face the Ramblers. Northwestern is 25-0 all-time against Loyola, with their first meeting dating back to the 'Cats' inaugural 1976-77 season.
Junior guard Hailey Weaver has been on a tear, scoring in double figures in all six games this season. Last time out, Weaver played a season-high 33 minutes, had a season-high four steals, three assists and led the team with 13 points against Belmont. The guard has been lethal from three for the 'Cats, leading the team with 13 made threes on a team-best 54.2 3FG%, the second best in the Big Ten.
Juniors Caileigh Walsh and Melannie Daley also put up double-digits figures against Belmont. Walsh put up 11 points, dished out three assists, and dominated the glass with eight rebounds. Daley recorded ten points, two assists, and snagged one steal. Rounding out the scoring was first year Casey Harter, who had a career day with 12 points, two assists and one block in 29 minutes.
Following Wednesday's game, Northwestern will continue their homestand with a match-up against Georgetown on Sunday. Tip-off scheduled for 3:00 pm CT at Welsh-Ryan Arena and will be televised on Big Ten Network.
