Wildcats Open 2023 at Home to Miami

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern Swimming and Diving kicks off the new year with a home matchup against Miami University (Ohio). Action begins inside the Norris Aquatic Center at 11:00 a.m. C.T. Admission is free for all fans.
The Wildcats ended 2022 on a high note with a combined second-place overall finish at the CSCAA Open Water National Championships in Biscayne Bay, Florida, last month. Both teams will be looking to ride that momentum as they enter the final weeks before their respective conference championship meets.
On the women's side, spectators can look forward to seeing standout Lola Mull continue her impressive in-season form. Mull is ranked ninth in the nation in 500-yard freestyle this year and is coming off a runner-up finish at the CSCAA Open Water National Championships.
The Northwestern men will be looking to Kevin Houseman and Tyler Lu to lead the team to its second victory of the season.
Houseman produced the seventh-fastest performance in the NCAA this season to win the 100-yard breaststroke at the Purdue Invitational in November. He will be hoping to build on that as he aims to challenge for the B1G title in the event next month.
Lu was also a top performer at that meet as the second-highest male scorer of the three-day competition. The Wildcat men will be looking to his versatility to provide multiple wins for the team on Saturday.
