MADISON, Wis. โย Northwestern women's swimming and diving grabbed 10 wins en route to a 162-138 road conference win against No.17 Wisconsin, while the men had six victories in a 181-119 loss to the No. 24 Badgers. The win brings the women to 6-1 (2-1 B1G)ย on the season, while the men drop to 3-2 (0-2 B1G).

The women first-year class stole the show in Madison. After anchoring the women's 400-yard medley relay to victory, first-year Audrey Yu picked up an individual win in the 50-yard freestyle with a 23.07 swim, just ahead of her teammate and fellow first-year, Lindsay Ervin (23.16). Ervin turned the tables in the 100-yard freestyle, cracking 50 seconds to take the event in 49.97. Yu was third in 50. The duo teamed up with Riley Huddleston and Ally Larson to get their third and second wins of the day, respectively, in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:31.13).

First-year Hana Shimizu-Bowers continued her fine form this year with a season's best 1:58.51 to win the 200-yard butterfly. The event was one of three podium finishes for her on the day as she finished second in another season's best swim of 2:02.29 in the 200-yard individual medley behind teammate Jamie Brennan, who won in a season's best 2:02.06, and finished third in the 500-yard freestyle.

The Wildcat women also swept the boards, with Jaye Patrick taking the 1-meter diving (277.50) and Markie Hopkins grabbing first in the platform diving event (261.98).

Other victories for the women came from Hannah Brunzell in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:02.29) and Miriam Guevara in the 100-yard butterfly (54.44).

Ben Miller continues to be in excellent form for the men, sweeping the 100 and 200-yard butterfly events in 48.57 and 1:47.33.

Sophomore Tyler Lu had some strong performances as well, winning the 200-yard individual medley in 1:47.45 and grabbing two additional top-three finishes, touching second in the 200-yard backstroke (1:47.56) and third in the 100-yard backstroke (48.98).

Marcus Mok also had multiple top-three swims, setting a season's best for a victory in the 200-yard breaststroke (1:59.74), in addition to finishing third in the 100-yard breaststroke (55.19).

The Northwestern men had additional first-place finishes from Henry Schirmer in platform diving (319.28) and Aleksa Bobar in the 100-yard freestyle (45.29).

Next up for the Wildcats will be a Big Ten quad-meet with Purdue, Iowa and Minnesota at the Norris Aquatics Center on Jan. 27 and 28., which will include the team's senior recognition ceremony.
