EVANSTON, Ill. (January 13, 2023) – Northwestern women's tennis raises the curtain on its 2023 schedule on Saturday when it welcomes a pair of local opponents to the Combe Tennis Center.
The 'Cats will take on UIC at 10 a.m. before battling Chicago State at 5 p.m. to close out the doubleheader. Admission for all home matches in 2023 is free of charge.
Guided by five-time Big Ten Conference Coach of the Year Claire Pollard, Northwestern finished 14-10 last season, going 8-3 in Big Ten play en route to making the program's 26th consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament.
Pollard welcomes back seven letterwinners from a season ago, a group highlighted by returning All-Big Ten pick Maria Shusharina.
Northwestern returns to action on Sunday, January 22 when it hosts No. 20 Vanderbilt at 12 p.m. inside the Combe Tennis Center.
