SESSION FOUR RECAP: A total of three Wildcats (Michael DeAugustino, Chris Cannon, and Lucas Davison) secured All-American status in Friday's evening session, while Ryan Deakin earned a spot in the NCAA Finals for the first time in his career with a dominant 10-2 decision over Arizona State's No. 3 seed Jacori Teemer. Deakin will face off against No. 5 Quincy Monday of Princeton in the 157 lb championships at 6 pm CT on ESPN as he looks to become the ninth Northwestern wrestler ever to win an individual national championship. In addition to Deakin, DeAugustino secured his second-career All-American honors in the 125lb blood rounds with a 2-0 decision over Oklahoma's Joey Prata, followed by a 6-1 decision over Oregon State's Brandon Kaylor. At 133 lbs, Chris Cannon locked up All-American status for a second-straight NCAA tournament with an electric first period pin over Pitt's Micky Phillippi. Lucas Davison kept the momentum rolling in the heavyweight bracket with a pair of wins to secure his second-career All-American honors, defeating Oregon State's Gary Traub, 8-2, followed by Nebraska's Christian Lance, 2-1. DeAugustino and Davison will wrestle twice in Saturday's morning session and can finish anywhere from 3rd to 6th place on the podium, while Cannon will wrestle in the 7th place match in the medal round.

SESSION THREE RECAP: Ryan Deakin advanced to the national semifinals for a second-consecutive year with a 6-2 decision over former All-American Josh Humphrey's (Lehigh). He will face off against No. 3 seed Jacori Teemer (Arizona State) in Friday evening's fourth session. With the win, Deakin secured All-American status for the fourth time of his career, joining an exclusive club of just four Northwestern wrestlers ever to be named a four-time All-American (Mike McMullan, Jake Herbert and Mike Funk). Additionally, Michael DeAugustino, Chris Cannon, Yahya Thomas and Lucas Davison will wrestle in the fourth session known as the "Blood Rounds", where one win secures an All-American status for any wrestler. DeAugustino and Cannon each dropped their quarterfinal matches to the No. 2 seeds in their respective brackets, while Davison gave No. 1 seed Gable Steveson his most competitive match of the season in a 10-5 decision in which Davison became the first wrestler all year to secure a takedown and not surrender bonus points to the reigning Hodge Trophy winner and Olympic Gold Medalist. Thomas continued his run through the wrestlebacks this morning, winning two matches to advance to tonight's session.

SESSION TWO RECAP: Four 'Cats earned a spot in the NCAA quarterfinals with victories in Thursday night's session–with Michael DeAugustino, Chris Cannon, Ryan Deakin and Lucas Davison all picking up victories. DeAugustino and Cannon each picked up narrow one-point victories, with DeAugustino taking down No. 7 seed Trevor Mastrogiovanni (Oklahoma State) by a 3-2 decision, while Cannon earned a 1-0 decision over No. 26 Matt Ramos (Purdue). Deakin and Davison each won in convincing fashion over a pair of Central Michigan wrestlers, with Deakin locking up a second-period pin over No. 15 seed Johnny Lovett, while Davison handled No. 8 seed Matt Stencel, 9-2. All four will be back in action tomorrow morning (along with Frankie Tal-Shahar and Yahya Thomas) and are set to face stout competition in tomorrow's quarterfinals, beginning at 10 am CT on ESPNU.

It marks the third time in program history that 10 Wildcats have qualified for the NCAA Championships, along with the 1968 and 1970 seasons, tying the program record. The Wildcats join Iowa and NC State as the only three programs to qualify all 10 wrestlers at this year's NCAA's.

Nine wrestlers earned automatic bids for the NCAA Championships through competition at the Big Ten Championships last weekend. Yahya Thomas's second-straight at-large bid finalized Northwestern's NCAA Championships competitors.
