Evanston, IL - Northwestern Fencing rolled through the field at the CCFC Championship at Welsh-Ryan on Sunday, with a perfect 5-0 mark from the epee squad helping the Wildcats secure a second-place finish. Ohio State took home the conference championship after a 16-11 overall victory over NU.

The epeeists led the way for Northwestern on Sunday, sweeping Cleveland State, Denison, Lawrence and Wayne State before a hard-fought 5-4 victory over the Buckeyes. 2021 NCAA Qualifer Blodwen Bindas went undefeated against Lawrence and Wayne State, before Northwestern sent out Emma Scala, first-year Hanna Lipthay, and 2021 NCAA Qualifier Julia Falinska to fence Ohio State with a title on the line.

All three Wildcats picked up victories against Ohio State to secure the win for the epee squad. As a team, the Wildcats dropped only three bouts all afternoon before facing the Buckeyes.
