Eight different Wildcats won their bouts, including each of the first six weight classes en route to the Wildcats' most decisive dual win on the season.
Michael DeAugustino got the scoring started early for the 'Cats, picking up a 19-4 tech fall over Tommy Capul at 125 lbs. It marked DeAugustino's first time earning bonus points this season, as he improves to 5-1 on the year.

Chris Cannon kept the momentum rolling in the second bout of the afternoon, earning a 6-0 decision over King Sandoval. A reigning All-American at 133 lbs, Cannon now sits at 11-2 on the year and 5-1 in Big Ten duals.

At 141 lbs Frankie Tal-Shahar, now with a 6-6 record on the season, continued his impressive second-year campaign with a 6-1 decision over Danny Bertoni. Yahya Thomas followed that up at 149 lbs with an impressive showing vs. Michael North, earning a 10-4 decision.

Wrestling in place of No. 2-ranked Ryan Deakin at 157 lbs, Trevor Chumbley earned a dominant 11-2 major decision over Conner Decker to send the 'Cats into intermission on a roll. Chumbley has been among the Wildcats' most consistent wrestlers this season, improving to 4-1 in duals this season with his only setback coming in a narrow 6-4 decision to the last season's 157 lb Big Ten runner-up Kaleb Young of Iowa.

Coming out of intermission, NU stayed red hot as David Ferrante earned a 6-4 victory over Gaven Bell at 165 lbs to extend the Northwestern lead to 21-0.
After a pair of Terrapin victories at 174 and 184 lbs, the Davison brothers closed the dual out with authority. At 197 lbs, Andrew Davison earned a gritty 4-1 win over Jaron Smith after an impressive ride out to close out the final period. Then in the heavyweight class, Lucas Davison continued to solidy his status as one of the best wrestlers in his class this season with a decisive 22-7 tech fall over Zach Schrader.

Northwestern hits the mat for a pair of duals next week, beginning with a Friday night trip to East Lansing to take on the Michigan State Spartans (6 pm CT, B1G+), followed by another home Sunday dual as the 'Cats host Northern Illinois for their final non-conference matchup of the 2021-22 campaign.
Sunday's dual vs. Northern Illinois will now take place in Trienen's Performance Center, and is scheduled to begin concurrently at noon CT with Northwestern women's basketball's game vs. Michigan, being played right next door at Welsh-Ryan Arena.
