No. 23 'Cats Host No. 15 Purdue for Senior Day

EVANSTON, Ill. – No. 23 Northwestern hosts No. 15 Purdue in the regular season finale on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. CT on Big Ten Network.
The 'Cats have won their last four matchups, including wins at No. 14 Michigan St. and No. 23 Illinois. Northwestern's last such win streak came in 2017, when the 'Cats won six-straight duals.
The win-streak has catapulted Northwestern into the top-25 for the first time this season at No. 23.
The Wildcats' last win against Purdue came on Feb. 9, 2018 in West Lafayette.
The Wildcats will honor graduate student Ryan Deakin, as well as seniors Brendan Devine, Jack Heyob, and Matt Vinci in their final home game.
Three-time All-American Ryan Deakin wraps up his storied career in Evanston with 124 wins in the purple and white, fifth most in program history, and the sixth-highest winning percentage in Northwestern history (.867). Deakin is currently the No. 2 wrestler in the 157 lbs. division and is 9-0 on the season.
Last time out, Northwestern took down Northern Illinois at Treinens Performance Center, 22-12. At 125 lbs., Michael DeAugustino moved to 7-1 on the season with an 8-6 decision win over Bryce West. DeAugustino is the No. 13 wrestler at 125 lbs. according to InterMat.com
No. 9 Chris Cannon recorded his first pin of the year in 4:24 against Mike Kaminski to improve to 12-3 this season. Frankie Tal Shahar won a 9-5 decision at 141 lbs., his third straight victory.
Andrew and Lucas Davison wrapped up the win for Northwestern late, as Andrew won by 10-3 decision and Lucas by 2-1 decision. With a 10-7 record, Andrew moved up to No. 28 in the 197 lbs. division, while Lucas sits at No. 10 in the heavyweight rankings thanks to a 17-4 record.
After this matchup, the 'Cats will head to the Big Ten Championships in Lincoln, Neb. on March 5.
